Indian Navy has invited applications for admission to the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) course commencing at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala in January 2024. 

Those selected will be admitted to the four-year B. Tech degree course for Executive & Technical branch. There are 30 vacancies of which 09 vacancies are for women. 

Eligibility: Applicants should be unmarried male or females fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India, born between 02nd July 2004 and 01st January 2007 (both dates inclusive).

Applicant should have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Applicant should have appeared for JEE (Main) - 2023 exam for B.E/ B. Tech.

Guidelines for medical standards are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds. 

Selection Procedure: Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2023 for B.E/ B. Tech. published by NTA, based on the cut-off as fixed by IHQ MoD (Navy).

SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/Visakhapatnam from Aug 2023 onwards. Details of SSB procedure are available on the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in

Merit list: Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks. Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.

Training: Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course in Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements. On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be done by the Naval Academy. The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy. The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing.
