Suzuki e-ACCESS electric scooter India launch in October 2025 with competitive EV features.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) is gearing up to launch its first electric scooter in India – the Suzuki e-ACCESS. Production is already underway at its Gurgaon plant, marking Suzuki’s entry into the electric two-wheeler segment. The e-scooter was first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and is aimed at urban commuters seeking a reliable and long-term electric mobility solution.
The expected launch in India is October 2025, with a price range of Rs. 1,00,000 to Rs. 1,20,000, positioning it as a competitive option for prospective buyers in the EV scooter segment.
What powers the Suzuki e-ACCESS?
The e-ACCESS is driven by Suzuki’s e-Technology, featuring a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. LFP was chosen over NMC (Nickel Manganese Cobalt) for its longer lifespan, durability, better reliability, and superior thermal stability. The battery is protected in a secure frame-integrated box and undergoes rigorous tests including submersion, extreme temperatures, drops, vibrations, puncture, and crush tests to ensure maximum safety.
The scooter delivers smooth acceleration and consistent performance across all speeds, even at low battery levels. It also includes Regenerative Braking, a maintenance-free belt drive system, and the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e), offering Eco mode, Ride mode A, Ride mode B, and Reverse mode.
How far can it go on a single charge?
The e-ACCESS comes with a 3.072 kWh, 51.2 V battery with 60 Ah capacity. As per AIS 040 standards, it offers a range of 95 km per charge. Energy consumption is rated at 39 Wh/km, making it economical for daily commuting.
How long does it take to charge?
Charging options include an off-board AC charger and a fast charger:
- Portable charger: 0–80% in 4 hrs 30 mins, 0–100% in 6 hrs 42 mins
- Fast charger: 0–80% in 1 hr 12 mins, 0–100% in 2 hrs 12 mins
These options make it convenient for urban riders with varying charging needs.

- Maximum power: 4.1 kW
- Maximum torque: 15 Nm
- Top speed: Smooth and consistent, ideal for city traffic
- Frame type: Underbone
- Curb weight: 122 kg

How does it compare with the Suzuki Access 125?
Unlike the petrol-powered Access 125, the e-ACCESS focuses on low maintenance, silent operation, and EV-specific features. Its maintenance-free belt drive replaces the traditional chain, lasting up to 70,000 km or seven years, over three times longer than a conventional CVT belt. Riders will also notice linear throttle response and constant power output even when the battery level drops, which improves drivability over many other electric scooters.
What are the features and colour options?
The e-ACCESS comes with practical and stylish features such as:
- Tinted meter visor
- Black floor mats
- Rear footrest
- Seat cover in black
Colour options have been designed to appeal to urban riders seeking a sleek, modern look.
When can buyers expect to ride it?
The launch in India is scheduled for October 2025, with dealerships across the country being prepared for EV sales. Suzuki is ensuring that service centres are fully EV-ready, with trained personnel and dedicated infrastructure for electric scooters.
With its long-range LFP battery, multiple riding modes, low maintenance, and competitive price, the Suzuki e-ACCESS promises to be a strong contender in India’s growing electric two-wheeler market.
