Mumbai: Indofast Energy, a leading battery-swapping solutions provider, has announced a strategic partnership with electric two-wheeler manufacturer e-Sprinto to deploy 20,000 electric scooters across India by 2026. This collaboration aims to boost EV adoption in the domestic market and seamlessly integrate e-Sprinto’s vehicles with Indofast Energy’s rapidly growing swapping network.
Battery Swapping Convenience
Indofast Energy’s initiative will provide delivery partners with two-minute battery swaps, effectively tackling range anxiety and eliminating time lost to vehicle charging. This strategic rollout centres on high-demand corridors, serving quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors. It is projected to revolutionise last-mile delivery operations and drive down operating costs while ensuring uninterrupted service for India’s gig economy workforce.
Infrastructure Expansion and Future Plans
The partnership aligns with Indofast Energy’s roadmap to establish 2,750 battery swap stations and support 150,000 vehicles by March 2026. Long-term, the company plans to set up 10,000 swapping points across more than 40 cities nationwide within three years. Indofast currently operates 1,000+ stations in 22 cities and 10 states, collaborating with leading EV fleet and infrastructure partners such as Zypp, Omega Seiki Mobility, Shadowfax, Indian Oil Corporation, and others.

As of now, Indofast operates over 1,000 battery-swapping stations in 10 states and 22 cities.
