Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Thursday, February 19, launched its newest V-series smartphones in India — the Vivo V70 and the Vivo V70 Elite — bringing ZEISS-backed cameras, a massive 6,500mAh battery and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness to the premium mid-range segment. While both phones share several headline features such as IP68 and IP69 ratings and 90W fast charging, the Elite variant steps up performance with a more powerful Snapdragon chipset.

Vivo V70 performance and storage
Powering the Vivo V70 is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor built on a 4nm process node. The octa-core chipset comprises one core clocked at 2.8GHz, four cores at 2.4GHz and three cores at 1.8GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The device is available in 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB configurations. The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at ₹50,999 (pre-order price ₹45,999), while the 12GB + 256GB model costs ₹53,999 (pre-order price ₹49,999). The phone also supports up to 8GB expandable RAM via software optimisation. It supports dual nano SIM cards with 5G connectivity.

Vivo V70 display and design
The Vivo V70 features a 16.74 cm (6.59-inch) AMOLED display with a resolution of 2750 × 1260 pixels. The capacitive multi-touch panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and delivers a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
The device measures 15.752 × 7.433 × 0.759 cm and weighs 194g in both Passion Red and Lemon Yellow colour options. It comes with a glass back cover and carries IP68 and IP69 ingress protection ratings for dust and water resistance. Security is handled by a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The smartphone runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.

On the camera front, the Vivo V70 is equipped with a 50MP ZEISS group selfie camera with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and 92° field of view.
At the rear, it houses a 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera with autofocus, optical image stabilisation, f/1.88 aperture and 84° field of view. This is accompanied by a 50MP ZEISS super telephoto camera with autofocus, OIS, f/2.65 aperture and 33° field of view, along with an 8MP ZEISS ultra wide-angle camera with fixed focus, f/2.2 aperture and 115° field of view. A rear flash unit is also included.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB 2.0.

The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, also built on a 4nm process node. Its octa-core CPU consists of one core clocked at 3.0GHz, four cores at 2.8GHz and three cores at 2.0GHz. It is paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.

The Vivo V70 Elite retains the same 16.74 cm (6.59-inch) AMOLED display with 2750 × 1260 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,000 nits local peak brightness. It runs OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings along with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The Authentic Black model measures 15.752 × 7.433 × 0.740 cm and weighs 187g, while the Passion Red and Sand Beige versions measure 15.752 × 7.433 × 0.759 cm and weigh 194g. The Passion Red and Sand Beige variants feature a glass back, whereas the Authentic Black version uses a glass fibre back.

Vivo V70 Elite price in India
The Elite model comes in Authentic Black, Sand Beige and Passion Red colour options. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are available in Authentic Black and Passion Red, while Sand Beige is limited to these two configurations. The top-end 12GB + 512GB variant is offered only in Authentic Black and Passion Red.
The 8GB + 256GB variant is priced at ₹54,999 (pre-order price ₹51,999). The 12GB + 256GB model carries an actual price of ₹59,999 with a pre-order price of ₹56,999. The top-end 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at ₹65,999, with a pre-order price of ₹61,999.
