Kerala weather today: Yellow alert in multiple districts as heavy rains continue

Thiruvananthapuram: The rainy season in Kerala shows no signs of slowing down, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting heavy rainfall across several districts over the next five days. A yellow alert has been issued in multiple regions, warning of isolated heavy showers.
According to the IMD’s latest forecast:

The IMD has defined “heavy rainfall” as rainfall measuring between 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm in 24 hours, and such isolated spells are likely during this period.
Kerala has been witnessing consistent rainfall and the new forecast suggests the wet spell will continue, especially in central and southern districts. Authorities are monitoring the situation and have urged residents to be cautious.
