Just days after Apple confirmed the date for its much-anticipated “Awe Dropping” event, Samsung has announced that it will hold its fourth Galaxy Unpacked showcase of 2025. The timing has raised eyebrows, as the South Korean giant is widely expected to unveil its first tri-foldable smartphone—an announcement that could overshadow Apple’s iPhone 17 series debut.

Samsung has reportedly lined up multiple launches for the September event, although the exact product lineup remains under wraps. Industry speculation suggests the spotlight could fall on the Galaxy Tab S11 series, a long-rumoured tri-foldable phone, and the Galaxy S25 FE. However, Samsung has yet to confirm which devices will actually be revealed.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked: Date and streaming details

The event will be held virtually on September 4, 2025, at 5.30 am ET (3 pm IST). Fans can watch the livestream through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel. Alongside the announcement, the company has opened pre-reservations for its upcoming Galaxy Tab, promising exclusive benefits for early customers.

What to expect at the Galaxy Unpacked event

Samsung’s official teaser points towards the arrival of its new Galaxy Tab S11 range. Reports indicate that the line-up will include the Galaxy Tab S11 and the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra. The Ultra variant is rumoured to carry a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, while the standard S11 could feature an 11-inch panel. The flagship tablet is also expected to deliver performance gains of up to 24% in CPU, 27% in GPU, and 33% in NPU compared to its predecessor.

Another key talking point is Samsung’s much-anticipated tri-foldable device. The company has been vocal about introducing a fresh foldable form factor in 2025, fuelling speculation that the reveal could happen at this event.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 FE is also making rounds in the rumour mill. While said to bring only incremental improvements over the previous generation, it may incorporate better performance and Galaxy AI tools, aligning it more closely with Samsung’s premium flagships.
