The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra may feature AI-powered Flex Magic Pixel display for enhanced privacy, blocking onlookers in public

Samsung’s Galaxy S series has long been a flagship contender in the Android market, with the company traditionally unveiling its latest generation each January. Although the Galaxy S26 lineup is still months away, early leaks have started to surface online—and the Ultra model appears to be getting a standout display upgrade.
According to a report from DealSite, Samsung is expected to introduce its ‘Flex Magic Pixel’ technology in the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company first demonstrated this innovation at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.
The Flex Magic Pixel display uses artificial intelligence to alter viewing angles when sensitive apps are open, such as banking or payment services. This feature is designed to block nearby onlookers from peeking at the screen in public spaces, giving users added privacy.
Unlike traditional privacy screen protectors, which dim the display or compromise visibility, Samsung’s solution is built directly into the panel. This means enhanced discretion without any noticeable trade-offs in brightness or clarity.
The report further notes that Samsung Display has already entered mass production of these panels, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra tipped to be the first handset to feature them. The other models in the S26 range are not expected to include the technology, although it may also appear in the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8.
The Ultra variant will also benefit from Colour Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) — a technique that replaces the polarising layer in OLED panels with a printed colour filter on a thin film. This approach boosts brightness levels while making the screen thinner. Samsung previously introduced CoE technology in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 back in 2021.
Beyond display upgrades, Samsung is said to be reshuffling the lineup for next year. Reports suggest the company will reduce the range to three models, with the S26 Edge taking the place of the S26 Plus. Interestingly, the entry-level version may undergo a rebrand, with Android Authority claiming it will be marketed as the Galaxy S26 Pro. If accurate, the series would consist of the S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra.
