The launch of the S25 FE is seen as a strategic move by Samsung to capture the value-conscious segment of the market.

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S25 FE in global markets, including India, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to its flagship S25 series. The new handset, announced at the company's latest Galaxy Event, promises to deliver a premium experience at a lower price point, with a focus on powerful performance and advanced AI capabilities.
The Galaxy S25 FE is powered by Samsung's Exynos 2400 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. It also comes with a promise of seven years of Android OS and security updates, ensuring long-term software support. This move aligns with Samsung's strategy to provide extended lifecycle support for its devices.
Pricing, Specifications, and Key Features
The phone is available in two configurations:
* 8GB RAM + 128GB storage: Priced at $650 (roughly ₹57,300)
* 8GB RAM + 256GB storage: Priced at $710 (roughly ₹62,570)
It is available in four colorways: Icyblue, Jetblack, Navy, and White. While pricing and availability for India are expected to be announced soon, the phone is now for sale on Samsung’s US website.
The S25 FE features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.
For photography, the phone is equipped with a triple-camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera houses a 12-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
The device is backed by a 4,900mAh battery that supports both 45W wired and 15W wireless fast charging. It also features a larger vapor chamber cooling system than its predecessor to manage heat efficiently. In terms of software, the phone ships with Android 16-based One UI 8 and includes a suite of Google AI Pro features, such as Circle to Search and Gemini Live.
The launch of the S25 FE is seen as a strategic move by Samsung to capture the value-conscious segment of the market. While the flagship Galaxy S25 Plus starts at a significantly higher price of ₹99,999, the S25 FE offers a compelling alternative with similar design and core features, making it a strong contender for consumers who want premium features without the hefty price tag.
