Redmi Note 15 series India launch expectations, specs, design leaks and expected prices explained.

Xiaomi is preparing to update its mid-range smartphone lineup in India with the Redmi Note 15 series, with a launch now widely tipped for January, 2026. Early reports suggest the standard Redmi Note 15 will arrive first, followed by Pro and Pro Plus models. Alongside this, Xiaomi is planning a special Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition, focusing on design and camera branding.
Expected India launch date
According to tipsters Yogesh Brar and Abhishek Yadav, the Redmi Note 15 series is expected to launch in India on January 6, 2026. Xiaomi is believed to be planning a phased launch, with the regular Redmi Note 15 arriving before the Pro and Pro Plus variants.
Xiaomi is also likely to launch Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition in India on the same date. A dedicated Amazon microsite has gone live, confirming its availability through the e-commerce platform.
Redmi Note 15: Expected features
Leaks indicate that the base Redmi Note 15 could feature a large 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and run on HyperOS 2.
Battery capacity is tipped to be slightly above 5,500mAh with support for 45W fast charging. The phone is also expected to offer an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance.
In terms of cameras, the device may sport a 108MP main rear camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 20MP front-facing camera. The phone is expected to weigh around 170 grams in the India variant.
Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro Plus
The Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro Plus are tipped to feature slightly larger 6.83-inch AMOLED displays with 120Hz refresh rates and high brightness levels. Both models are expected to come with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.
The Pro Plus variant may use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro version could be powered by the Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor. Both phones are expected to offer an IP68 rating.
Battery sizes are tipped at around 6,500mAh for the Pro Plus, with the Pro model expected to be slightly higher. Camera upgrades are also expected, with both models likely to feature a 200MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor.
Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition
Xiaomi has teased the design of the Redmi Note 15 5G 108 Master Pixel Edition. The phone is shown to feature a curved display, slim form factor and a likely metal frame. The left edge appears clean, with power and volume buttons expected on the right side.
While detailed specifications remain officially unconfirmed, leaks suggest this model may share the large 6.8-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, Snapdragon-powered performance, HyperOS, and a 108MP rear camera. The battery is expected to be larger than 5,500mAh.
Conflicting leaks on size and software
Some recent reports differ from earlier leaks. One report claims the Redmi Note 15 5G could feature a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1,080 x 2,392 pixels.
This version is said to measure 164 x 75.42 x 7.35mm and weigh around 178 grams. It is also reported to run Android 15-based HyperOS 2 and be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset.
Expected price in India
The Redmi Note 15 is expected to start at around Rs 20,000 in India. The Redmi Note 15 Pro could be priced between Rs 27,000 and Rs 30,000, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus may reach close to Rs 35,000. Final pricing will be confirmed by Xiaomi at launch.
