Realme is set to strengthen its presence in the Indian smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the Realme 16 5G, a device that combines a distinctive design with high-performance features aimed at heavy users and gamers.

One of the standout elements of the phone is its innovative “selfie mirror” design. The rear camera module includes a reflective surface, allowing users to see themselves while taking selfies using the main camera, potentially improving image quality compared to traditional front cameras.

Battery performance is a major highlight of the device. The smartphone is equipped with a large 7,000mAh battery, designed to support extended usage for gaming, streaming and multitasking. It also supports 60W fast charging, enabling quicker top-ups, along with reverse charging functionality that allows the phone to act as a power bank for other devices.

In terms of display, the Realme 16 5G features a 6.57-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and an enhanced viewing experience. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 Turbo processor, which is expected to deliver efficient performance for demanding tasks and gaming.

On the camera front, the smartphone includes a 50MP main rear sensor and a 50MP front-facing camera, focusing on high-resolution photography on both sides.

Durability is another key aspect, with the device expected to come with IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for resistance against dust and water, providing added protection in everyday conditions.

The Realme 16 5G is likely to be sold exclusively via Flipkart and is expected to be priced at around ₹40,000 in India. With its combination of battery capacity, fast charging and design innovation, the device is positioned to compete strongly in the mid-range smartphone segment.
