Oppo has launched its latest addition to the Oppo F series with the F31 smartphones. The new lineup is designed to deliver advanced features, exceptional durability, and long-lasting battery performance in the mid-range segment. It includes three models – the Oppo F31 5G, Oppo F31 Pro 5G, and the premium Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G.

All three devices are notable for their massive 7,000mAh battery, a first for the F series, and their robust build quality with triple IP ratings (IP66, IP68, and IP69) for dust and water resistance, setting a new benchmark for durability in this price category.

Oppo F31 5G: A strong entry-level option

The entry-level model, the F31 5G, is a formidable contender in its class.

Display and Design: The phone features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, providing smooth visuals. It offers a pixel density of 397 PPI and a peak brightness of 1400 nits, ensuring clarity even in bright outdoor conditions. The smartphone operates on ColorOS 15.0. Its standout feature is the 7,000mAh battery, which supports 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, capable of a full charge in just over an hour.

Pricing and Availability: The F31 5G is priced starting at ₹22,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, with the 8GB RAM + 256GB model at ₹24,999. It will be available for purchase from September 27. The phone features LPDDR4X RAM.

Oppo F31 Pro 5G: Enhanced features and power

Stepping up in the series, the F31 Pro 5G builds on the base model with enhanced performance and features.

Display and Design: It sports the same 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1400 nits peak brightness. The phone has a sleek design, weighing 191g with a thickness of 8.1mm. It will be available in Desert Gold and Space Grey.

Camera: The camera system is similar to the base model, featuring a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 2MP monochrome sensor. However, it boasts a higher-resolution 32MP selfie camera on the front.

The device offers a wide range of video recording options, starting with 4K resolution at 30 fps. For standard high-definition video, it supports both 1080p and 720p. You can capture smooth, fluid motion in 1080p at 60 fps or 30 fps, and in 720p at 30 fps. For creative slow-motion effects, the phone can record in 1080p at 120 fps and in 720p at an ultra-high frame rate of 240 fps. The device also includes a time-lapse feature, which records in 1080p at 30 fps.

Oppo F31 Pro+ 5G: The flagship model

As the premium offering in the series, the F31 Pro+ 5G packs the most powerful hardware and a larger display.

Display and Design: The flagship model features a larger 6.79-inch flat AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1600 nits. Despite its size, it maintains a lightweight feel at 195g and a slim profile of 7.7mm. The phone is available in Gemstone Blue, Himalayan White, and Festival Pink.

Camera: The camera setup mirrors the F31 Pro 5G, with a 50MP main rear camera (OIS) and a 2MP monochrome sensor. The front-facing camera is a 32MP shooter. It supports 4K video recording.

The device offers comprehensive video recording capabilities, supporting resolutions up to 4K at 30fps. For smoother footage, both 1080p and 720p resolutions can be recorded at 60fps or 30fps. For creative shots, the slow-motion feature allows for recording in 1080p at 120fps, and in 720p at either 240fps or 120fps. Additionally, users can create time-lapse videos in 1080p at a consistent 30fps.

Performance and Battery: The F31 Pro+ 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. It is available in two variants: 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The device is backed by the same 7,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging.

Pricing and Availability: The F31 Pro+ 5G starts at ₹32,999 for the 8GB + 256GB model and goes up to ₹34,999 for the 12GB + 256GB version. It is set to hit the market on September 19.
