Apple is reportedly close to launching its next affordable iPhone, likely to be called the iPhone 17e, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The device is expected to succeed the iPhone 16e and will be aimed strongly at emerging markets and business users as Apple pushes to widen its global reach in 2026.

Early reports suggest the iPhone 17e will pack some of Apple’s newest technology while keeping prices within reach of budget-conscious buyers.

What’s new in the iPhone 17e?

The phone is expected to run on Apple’s A19 chip, promising faster performance, smoother gaming and better AI-powered features. One of the biggest additions could be MagSafe charging.

Leaks also point to Apple’s latest in-house wireless and cellular chips, slimmer display bezels and an OLED screen similar to older flagship iPhones. The selfie camera may get a major boost too, with an 18MP sensor and Center Stage, allowing automatic framing during video calls and group selfies.

How much will the iPhone 17e cost?

Apple is likely to keep pricing steady. The iPhone 17e is expected to launch at around $599 globally, or roughly ₹59,900 in India, making it one of the most feature-packed iPhones.
