Apple officially launched its iPhone 17 series on September 9. This year’s lineup includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and an all-new model — the iPhone Air.

All four models will be available for pre-order starting Friday, September 12 at 5:30 PM IST in India, with in-store availability from September 19. Customers in over 63 countries, including the US, UK, UAE, Canada, Australia, and more, can also pre-order on the same day. The second wave of availability begins September 26 in additional regions.

iPhone 17 series: What’s new?

Across the board, the iPhone 17 lineup brings significant upgrades:

  • ProMotion displays (for smoother scrolling and visuals)
  • 48MP rear cameras
  • 18MP front cameras for selfies and video calls
  • USB Type-C ports for charging
  • Dynamic Island continues as a standard feature
  • Powered by Apple Intelligence – AI features integrated into iOS 26

Under the hood, the iPhone 17 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Air are powered by the A19 Pro chip, while the standard iPhone 17 features the slightly less powerful A19 chip.

Where to buy and collect

Once pre-orders are live, customers can place orders through the Apple India website. The new iPhones will also be available via major retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, and Vijay Sales, as well as Apple’s physical stores in:

  • Apple Saket (Delhi)
  • Apple Hebbal (Bengaluru)
  • Apple Koregaon Park (Pune)

Customers who pre-order online can choose to collect their devices from these retail locations.
