PM Modi to inaugurate India Mobile Congress 2025 in Delhi. Event showcases 6G, AI, quantum computing, and over 1,600 tech innovations.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the 9th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, Asia’s largest telecom, media and technology event, on Wednesday at 9:45 a.m. at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, Delhi.
Organised jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), the four-day event will run from October 8 to 11 under the theme ‘Innovate to Transform’. The theme underscores India’s expanding role in driving digital transformation and leveraging innovation for societal and economic progress.
IMC 2025 will bring together global leaders, policymakers, industry experts and innovators to showcase the latest advancements in telecom and emerging technologies. Key focus areas include 6G, quantum communications, semiconductors, optical networks and cyber fraud prevention, reflecting India’s vision to strengthen next-generation connectivity and digital security.
This year’s edition is expected to host more than 400 companies, around 7,000 global delegates and over 1.5 lakh visitors from more than 150 countries. The event will feature over 1,600 new technology use-cases across fields such as 5G and 6G, artificial intelligence, smart mobility, cybersecurity, quantum computing and green technology, along with 100+ sessions and 800 speakers from around the world.
IMC 2025 will also bolster India’s international partnerships, with delegations from Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ireland and Austria taking part, highlighting the country’s growing influence in the global telecom and technology ecosystem.
Ahead of the inauguration, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia visited the venue on Monday to review final preparations. He also travelled to and from the site via the Airport Metro, emphasising India’s push for modern and sustainable urban transport.
