Discover Google’s Nano Banana Pro AI image tool, powered by Gemini 3 Pro. Learn about its advanced features, real-time search integration, and creative controls

Google has launched Nano Banana Pro, its latest AI-based image creation tool powered by the Gemini 3 Pro model. The company says this upgraded version marks a clear evolution from the original Nano Banana system, which relied on Gemini 2.5 Flash Image. The Pro edition is designed to produce more refined visuals, deliver improved reasoning and offer a stronger grasp of real-world scenarios across Google’s products.
According to Google, the tool aims to simplify everything from sketching prototypes to converting rough notes into diagrams or preparing infographics, making the entire process faster and less demanding. Here are five key points about Google’s newest AI imaging upgrade.
Nano Banana Pro transforms rough concepts into structured visuals
Nano Banana Pro introduces a noticeable leap in capability compared with the earlier model. Built on the enhanced reasoning power of Gemini 3 Pro, it can generate visuals with improved accuracy and a far clearer sense of context.
In practice, this means the tool can take almost any vague idea—scribbled notes, early design drafts, classroom topics or half-formed concepts—and turn them into tidy images or diagrams. Users can rely on it to quickly understand subjects, prepare visual outlines or organise information without struggling with complex design tools.
Nano Banana Pro fetches real-time knowledge from Google search
One of its headline upgrades is direct integration with Google Search. This allows Nano Banana Pro to blend user prompts with current information, resulting in images that feel more up-to-date and grounded. It can create visuals featuring details such as current weather, a recent sports highlight or an overview of a recipe.
Improved text rendering with Nano Banana Pro’s multi-language support
Nano Banana Pro also enhances how text appears inside generated visuals. Google states that the model now handles longer text, more languages and cleaner formatting. This makes it more useful when creating posters, social media graphics, study material or anything where readable text matters. Multi-language compatibility also helps users create or adapt content for different regions.
Nano Banana Pro offers advanced creative controls and high-resolution output
The Gemini Pro-based version introduces studio-grade creative controls designed for professional users. The tool can now respond to detailed prompts such as:
- Adjusting camera angles, focus or depth of field
- Changing lighting effects, for example shifting from bright daylight to a darker night scene
- Producing high-definition images up to 4K resolution, a major improvement over the previous model
- Building complex scenes by combining as many as 14 input images while maintaining consistency across up to five characters or subjects
Nano Banana Pro expands across Google apps and services
Google is rolling out Nano Banana Pro across its broader ecosystem. It is already available in the Gemini app under the “Create images” option using the “Thinking” model. Free Gemini users face a limit on Pro-level generations, after which the system switches to the older model, while paid Gemini Plus, Pro and Ultra subscribers get far higher allowances.
For professionals, the tool is being added to Google Ads, Slides and Vids to support advertisers and Workspace users with more capable image generation. Developers can access Nano Banana Pro through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio and Vertex AI for large-scale applications. NotebookLM subscribers will also gain access to the Pro version globally.
