Apple may unveil new M5-powered iPad Pro, Vision Pro, and MacBook Pro models later this month

Apple is reportedly preparing to unveil a new lineup of products this week, all expected to be powered by its latest M5 chip. These upcoming devices are said to deliver a significant performance boost over the previous M4 generation, setting the stage for one of Apple’s most anticipated hardware updates this year. The company has yet to officially confirm any launch event.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is set to release updated models of the iPad Pro, Vision Pro headset, and the 14-inch MacBook Pro, all of which are expected to feature the new M5 chip.
Apple October launch: Three possible announcements this week
Unlike previous years, Apple is not expected to host a full-fledged October launch event. Instead, the company may announce its new lineup through a series of press releases and online videos.
The exact timing of the launch is still unclear. With Monday being a holiday in the US and Canada, Apple might delay its press releases until later in the week, meaning Indian audiences can likely expect the announcements within the coming days.
Apple iPad Pro M5
The upcoming iPad Pro recently surfaced online through an unboxing video, revealing key specifications. The tablet is expected to feature the M5 chip paired with an upgraded 12GB of RAM, while retaining a design similar to its predecessor.
According to leaked Geekbench results, the M5 delivers up to 12% higher CPU performance in multicore tests and a 36% boost in GPU capability compared to the M4 chip. There are also reports suggesting the addition of a dual front-facing camera setup.
Apple Vision Pro M5
Apple is also rumoured to be working on an updated version of its Vision Pro mixed reality headset. This new model is expected to combine the M5 processor with an R2 chip for improved efficiency and performance. The refreshed Vision Pro may also include a dual-knit head strap for enhanced comfort and could arrive in a sleek new black colour option.
Apple MacBook Pro M5
Rounding off the anticipated launches is the 14-inch MacBook Pro, which could receive the M5 chip upgrade. However, aside from the performance improvements, there are no major design or feature changes reported yet. More concrete details will become clear once Apple makes its official announcement later this month.
