The incident promoted Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar to third, behind Kimi Antonelli and Lewis Hamilton.

Monte Carlo: Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc’s hopes for a home podium finish at the Monaco Grand Prix were shattered Sunday after a devastating crash into the final corner wall on the 67th lap.
The Monegasque driver was running comfortably in the top three when the race resumed following a late yellow-flag period. As the field accelerated for the restart, Leclerc lost control of his Ferrari and slammed heavily into the barriers at the final turn, instantly ending his race.

The violent impact left debris scattered across the track, prompting race control to immediately throw the red flag and temporarily suspend the Grand Prix.
Leclerc emerged from the wrecked Ferrari uninjured but visibly distraught after losing a guaranteed podium finish in front of his home crowd.
His sudden retirement dramatically altered the top order in the closing stages of the race. Red Bull's Isack Hadjar was directly promoted into third place, inheriting the final podium spot behind race leader Kimi Antonelli and second-place Lewis Hamilton.
The crash adds another heartbreaking chapter to Leclerc’s historically fraught relationship with the Monte Carlo street circuit, a venue where he has repeatedly suffered mechanical failures and untimely accidents throughout his career.
Track marshals are currently working to clear the damaged Ferrari and repair the barrier as teams await an official restart time for the final laps of the race.
Leclerc's exit contributed to a high-attrition afternoon in the Principality, which began with Max Verstappen's opening-lap engine failure alongside four other retirements, including McLaren's Lando Norris.
