Sanju Samson’s unbeaten 115 off 56 balls helped Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Capitals by 23 runs in the IPL.

Chennai: Sanju Samson smashed a 56-ball 115 not out as Chennai Super Kings opened their account in this IPL with a 23-run win over Delhi Capitals here on Saturday.
Sent in to bat, Samson struck four sixes and 15 fours during his blistering knock, stitching key partnerships, 62 with Ruturaj Gaikwad (15), 113 with Ayush Mhatre (59) and unbroken 37 with Shivam Dube (20) as CSK posted a formidable 212 for 2.
In reply, DC folded for 189 with Pathum Nissanka (41 off 24) and Tristan Stubbs (60 off 38) putting up a fight.
Jamie Overton (4/18) was the most successful bowler, while Gurjapneet Singh (1/39), Anshul Kamboj (3/35) and Khaleel Ahmed (1/40) were also among wickets.
