New Delhi: Indian cricket legend Mahendra Singh Dhoni is regarded as one of the finest skippers and wicket keepers the sport has ever produced.
A video clip is currently making the rounds on social media in which Dhoni reveals a light-hearted conversation he had with his wife, Sakshi, while they were watching a cricket match at home.

Dhoni recalled, "We were watching an ODI, and when a bowler delivered a wide, the batsman stepped out and was stumped. The on-field umpire referred the decision to the third umpire. Sakshi immediately said, 'It's not out,' just as the batsman began to walk back. I explained, 'A stumping can be done off a wide ball, but not a no-ball.' She retorted, 'Tumko kuch nahi pata hai' (you don’t know anything), insisting that the third umpire would call him back."
As the couple argued, the batsman had already reached the boundary line; however, Sakshi kept insisting, "No, no, they have to call him back." Eventually, when the next batsman came to the crease, she speculated, "You know there is something wrong."
As shown in the video, Dhoni's delightful storytelling left the audience thrilled.
Despite retiring from international cricket a few years ago, Dhoni remains one of the most celebrated cricketing stars in the country.
'I want to enjoy it for next few years...' : MS Dhoni confirms participation in IPL 2025
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star MS Dhoni has nearly confirmed his participation in the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL), stating that he simply wants to enjoy whatever cricket he can play in his remaining years.
After CSK's unexpected exit in the group stage of IPL 2024, Dhoni had been reserved about his plans for the next edition of the league.
The deadline for all ten franchises to submit their list of retained players is set for October 31, ahead of the mega auction.
For this upcoming edition, CSK has the option to retain Dhoni as an uncapped player, following a rule change. The IPL has reinstated the rule scrapped in 2021, allowing players to be considered uncapped if they have retired from international cricket for five years.
Speaking at an event in Goa, Dhoni shared that professional sport often makes it difficult for a player to enjoy the game purely. The 43-year-old said he now wants to savour the game for the next few years.
"I just want to enjoy whatever last few years of cricket I'm able to play, like how during our childhood we used to go out and play at 4 pm, just enjoying the game. But with professional sport, it becomes challenging to enjoy the game as just a game. There are emotions and commitments, but I want to enjoy it for the next few years," Dhoni told ESPNcricinfo.
Fans of Dhoni are excited hearing the news. (With inputs from Agencies)
