Indian cricketer Rinku Singh and Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj have reportedly postponed their wedding, originally set for November 19, 2025. The couple, who got engaged earlier this month in a grand ceremony in Lucknow, had booked the Taj Hotel in Varanasi for the wedding. However, Rinku’s professional commitments with the Indian cricket team during November have led to a change in plans. According to a report by Amar Ujala, the wedding will now be held in February 2026, although the exact date is yet to be finalised.

The engagement ceremony was attended by several prominent personalities, including SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, actor Jaya Bachchan, and Indian fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Rinku later shared heartfelt moments from the ceremony on social media, expressing how long the couple had waited for this milestone.

Rinku Singh, who recently played for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2025 IPL season, has become a well-known name in Indian cricket. Priya Saroj, a first-time Member of Parliament from Machhlishahr, secured her seat during the 2024 general elections. Hailing from Karkhiaon village in Varanasi, she has been active in politics for several years and first came into the public eye during her father's (Tufani Saroj) 2022 election campaign.
