India registered a commanding performance at the tournament, finishing with at least one medal in all 20 weight categories — an impressive 9 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Greater Noida: Indian boxer Nupur Sheoran delivered a powerful message to critics after clinching gold in the +80kg category at the World Boxing Cup Finals on Thursday, saying the victory was deeply personal following weeks of online trolling.
Speaking to ANI after her win, an emotional Sheoran said she had been targeted on social media after a previous tournament where she finished with silver.
“I really needed this gold because I hadn't slept for the past month… I was trolled over a video in which I had said that I had just received a silver medal and I would turn it into gold. I was called overconfident. I want to tell everyone that until we think about where we need to reach, we won't be able to get there…,” she said.
The boxer added that the constant criticism took a toll on her mental well-being but also fueled her determination to prove herself.
