PR Sreejesh, India’s legendary goalkeeper, made headlines not only for his stellar performance at the Paris Olympics but also for his unique style statement.

As the only Malayalee player to bring home a medal from the Paris Olympics, Sreejesh celebrated in true Kerala fashion, right in front of the Eiffel Tower. Dressed in a traditional 'mundu' and sporting trendy shades, Sreejesh posed for a memorable photo that perfectly blended his cultural pride with the glamour of Paris.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper has been a key figure in the Indian men’s hockey team, helping them secure their second consecutive Olympic bronze medal, something that hadn’t been achieved since 1972.  After this triumphant performance, Sreejesh announced his retirement from playing, but he’s not stepping away from the game. He’s set to begin a new chapter as the head coach of the junior men’s hockey team.

Before leaving the field, Sreejesh made sure to leave a mark in Paris, not just with his game but with his style. His traditional outfit in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower turned fans all over go wow and earned him over 1 million likes on Instagram. The look reperesented Kerala's culture. He even struck a playful pose inspired by the Malayalam film 'Aavesham', complete with the famous line, “Eda mone.”

As the Paris Olympics draw to a close on Sunday, Sreejesh will stay in the city to take on a special role as the joint-flag bearer for India at the closing ceremony, alongside shooter Manu Bhaker. The rest of the hockey team has already returned to India.
