India continued their dominance in kabaddi at the Asian Games as the women’s team secured another gold medal with a 37-34 victory over Iran in the final on Saturday.

India made a strong start to the title clash and took a 22-16 lead into half-time. That six-point advantage gave the Indian team a crucial cushion as the match entered its second half.

Iran came back strongly after the break and managed to win the second half 18-15. However, India’s advantage from the opening half proved enough to keep them ahead until the final whistle.

With the 37-34 win, India secured the women’s kabaddi gold and added another Asian Games title to the country’s strong record in the sport.

After the victory, the Indian team celebrated by taking a lap around the arena before chanting 'Vande Mataram'.
