India created history at the Commonwealth Games 2026 as Soman Rana claimed the country's first-ever gold medal in the Men's Shot Put F57 event, leading a memorable Indian one-two finish on Saturday.

Rana produced a best throw of 13.40m to secure the gold medal, while compatriot Shubham Juyal took silver with a best effort of 13.28m, giving India a dominant finish in the para athletics event.
