Kochi: Kerala riders displayed remarkable skill as they reached the finishing point of the rugged Kolar track, characterised by hills and rocks, during the gruelling Extreme Enduro off-road bike race, which saw 65 riders from across India participating.

Seven Keralites secured top positions in various categories. The motocross riders achieving this feat include Kochi natives Sreeraj Harshan, M.S. Sharath Kumar, K.V. Vishnu, Titto Babu, and Shyam Kalarickal from Malappuram, alongside Benson Sajan from Chalakudy and C.H. Nidhin, a Bengaluru-based Keralite.

Enduro race
The Extreme Enduro race is a global competition held on challenging tracks. Its Indian edition took place over the weekend at the Big Rock Dirt Park in Holali village, Kolar, Karnataka. The 4.2-kilometre ‘tough track’, specially prepared with rocks, small hills, steep drops, and slabs, hosted the event. Winners were determined by those who completed ten laps of this track in the shortest time.
Performance of Kerala riders
The races in Kolar were held in various categories, with bike capacities ranging from 160cc to 601cc. In the 166cc to 260cc category, Sreeraj Harshan finished first, while M.S. Sharath secured second place. In the above 600cc category, Titto Babu claimed first place. K.V. Vishnu topped the 260cc category, and Shyam Kalarickal finished first in the 261cc to 450cc category. In the 261cc to 460cc category, C.H. Nidhin came third, with Benson Sajan finishing fourth.
