France respond with a change of their own as Désiré Doué replaces Bradley Barcola, with Didier Deschamps looking for fresh impetus in attack.

Paraguay are forced into a change as Omar Alderete goes down injured and is unable to continue. Juan Canale, one of the heroes from Paraguay's penalty shootout win over Germany, comes on to replace the defender.

France midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni will miss the World Cup Round of 16 clash against Paraguay due to a thigh injury, according to L’Équipe. The Real Madrid midfielder, who started three of France’s four matches, is expected to be replaced by Manu Koné.
