Switzerland have regained control of possession, finding pockets of space between Colombia's lines and dictating the tempo. With little pressure from the Colombians, the Swiss are comfortably working the ball around and picking out passes into dangerous areas around the box.

A brilliant piece of build-up play from Colombia ends with Gustavo Puerta curling a superb effort towards goal. Gregor Kobel is equal to it, diving to make a fine save and tip the ball behind for a corner.

Colombia are slowly growing into the game after struggling to keep possession in the opening 10 minutes. Rodríguez’s clever back-heel briefly opens up space for Luis Díaz to run in behind, but the final pass is intercepted as Switzerland’s defence holds firm.

Rodríguez delivers a dangerous free kick, won after foul on Diaz, into the box, but Lucumí is unable to get a touch as the ball is headed away. The rebound falls safely into the hands of Gregor Kobel.

After a quick start from both sides, Switzerland are enjoying more possession. Colombia’s plan is clear, looking to send Luis Díaz sprinting down the left flank, but that approach is yet to create a real opening. Jashari is dispossessed in midfield, allowing Colombia to counter, but the Swiss defence quickly recovers to stop the attack.

A brilliant one-touch move from Switzerland creates space for Dan Ndoye on the left flank after a quick through ball from Freuler. Ndoye fires straight at Camilo Vargas, and the offside flag goes up. It would not have counted anyway, but Switzerland are starting to find openings.

A dangerous ball into the box is aimed towards Luis Díaz, but Denis Zakaria tracks his run well and gets there first to clear it out for a corner. Rodríguez’s corner is then met by Breel Embolo, who heads it away.

Colombia have started on the front foot, pressing high and putting Switzerland under pressure in the opening minutes.
