Brighton: Brighton vs Fulham ended in a thrilling 1-1 draw in the opening match of the Premier League 2025/26 season at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

Brighton took the lead in the 55th minute with a penalty converted by Matt O’Riley. The penalty was awarded after Fulham defender Tim Ream was judged to have fouled Evan Ferguson inside the box. O’Riley’s composed spot-kick sent the goalkeeper the wrong way, giving Brighton the advantage.

The home side maintained control for much of the second half and looked on course to secure all three points. However, Fulham fought back determinedly, and their efforts were rewarded deep into stoppage time. In the 96th minute, Rodrigo Muniz capitalised on a loose ball at the back post following a corner. He struck the ball low into the bottom corner, beating the Brighton goalkeeper and dramatically levelling the score to salvage a valuable point for Fulham.

The Brighton vs Fulham match provided a dramatic finish, with both teams sharing the spoils to start their Premier League campaigns.
