The situation turned uncomfortable when boys attempted to pull the cricketer’s hand towards them to take a selfie.

World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma — fondly known as the Hitman — will forever be revered as one of India’s most dynamic cricketing personalities, despite now representing the national team only in ODIs. His stature places him alongside the likes of Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and other greats of the game.
Rohit is widely regarded as an affable personality, known for his sense of humour and approachability. He is often seen spending time with supporters after practice sessions, posing for photographs and signing autographs — gestures cherished by his legion of fans.
Recently, a video of the Indian opener has gone viral on social media. In the footage, two young fans approach Rohit while he is seated in a moving car. As he gestures to them, one fan briefly shakes his hand. The situation soon turns uncomfortable when both attempt to pull his hand towards them to take a selfie. Clearly unhappy with their behaviour, Rohit responds, issues a warning, and then rolls up the car window.
The clip has sparked widespread discussion online. While many users criticised the fans for being overly enthusiastic and careless, others felt the Indian batter could have reacted a little more gently, given their young age.
Meanwhile, Rohit continues his preparations as he gears up for India’s upcoming international assignment against New Zealand. In domestic cricket, the veteran opener recently scored a stellar 155 against Sikkim in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, underlining his rich form. (With inouts from Agencies)
