Ravindra Jadeja has etched his name into cricket history, becoming one of only 11 players to achieve the remarkable double of over 3,000 runs and 300 wickets in Test cricket. He joins an exclusive group that includes only two other Indians: Kapil Dev and R. Ashwin.
Jadeja's journey to this milestone has been swift; he is the second quickest to reach this feat in terms of matches played, completing it in just 73 Tests, following Ian Botham, who accomplished the double in 72 matches. Notably, Jadeja boasts a batting average that is 12.72 runs higher than his bowling average, the second highest among the 11 players with this achievement, trailing only Imran Khan's 14.88.

Among left-arm spinners, Jadeja is the third to claim over 300 Test wickets, following the paths of Daniel Vettori, who concluded his career with 362 wickets, and Rangana Herath, who tops the list with 433 scalps. In addition, Jadeja has the highest difference in batting and bowling averages (16.62) in the first innings among the 15 players with over 1,500 runs and 150 wickets.
Jadeja's bowling average of 24.00 places him among the elite, with only Muthiah Muralidaran (22.72) and Ashwin (23.69) maintaining better averages among spinners with over 200 Test wickets. In home Tests, his average is the third-best among bowlers with 200-plus wickets, surpassed only by Muralidaran (19.56) and Fred Trueman (20.04).
With his latest achievements, Jadeja becomes the seventh Indian bowler to reach the 300-wicket mark in Test cricket, solidifying his status as one of the premier all-rounders in the game.
