Buttler claimed the historic milestone while playing for Manchester Super Giants (MSG) against Welsh Fire in The Hundred, smashing an unbeaten 51 off just 20 deliveries. His explosive knock—featuring two boundaries, six clearing sixes, and a blistering strike rate of 250.00—propelled him to the top of the T20 run charts.

Across 522 T20 appearances, Buttler has now accumulated 14,833 runs, backed by 9 centuries and 105 half-centuries. In doing so, he surpassed Pollard’s previous mark of 14,803 runs (accumulated over 746 matches with 2 centuries) and moved further clear of longtime record-holder Chris Gayle (14,562 runs in 463 matches with 22 centuries and 88 fifties).
