Sydney: Former Australian Test batter David Boon has been appointed as Cricket Australia’s (CA) Interim Chairman following the decision of outgoing Chair Mike Baird to step down from his post. As reported by Fox Sports, Baird announced on Monday, 28 September 2026, that he will formally relinquish his role at the governing body’s Annual General Meeting on 28 October 2026, ending a six-year tenure on the CA Board, including nearly four years as Chair.
