Australian umpire Ben Treloar will officiate in two Ranji Trophy matches in India, while Indian umpire Parashar Joshi will travel to Australia to stand in two Sheffield Shield matches and one One Day Cup fixture under an umpire exchange programme announced by Cricket Australia (CA) in collaboration with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Treloar brings considerable experience to the programme, having officiated in 30 first-class matches, 20 List A games and 39 Big Bash League fixtures. He has also served as an umpire in two Women's One Day Internationals and four Women's T20 Internationals.

In addition to his on-field duties, Treloar works as the Umpire Education Officer at Cricket New South Wales, where he helps train and develop upcoming match officials. His contributions to umpire education have earned him four George Borwick Memorial Awards from the New South Wales Cricket Umpires and Scorers Association, according to a CA press release.

Treloar's stint in India began with Delhi's Ranji Trophy match against Gujarat, scheduled from October 18 to 21 in Delhi. He will then officiate in Mumbai's fixture against Haryana, which will take place from October 26 to 29 in Mumbai.

Joshi, meanwhile, arrives in Australia with extensive experience in Indian domestic cricket. He has officiated in 19 first-class matches across the Ranji Trophy and Duleep Trophy, 32 List A games in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Deodhar Trophy, and 40 T20 matches. His appointments include fixtures in the Indian Premier League and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Joshi's Australian assignment will begin with Queensland's Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania at the Gabba from November 11 to 14. He will then stand in the teams' One Day Cup fixture at the same venue on November 16.

The Indian umpire will conclude his exchange programme by officiating in the Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Queensland at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), scheduled from November 22 to 25.

The exchange programme is aimed at providing match officials from both countries with opportunities to gain experience in each other's domestic cricket competitions. (ANI)
