New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday unveiled the Annual Player Contracts for Team India’s Senior Men and Senior Women for the 2025-26 season, covering the period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026.
In a major shake-up, stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been moved down to Grade B in the BCCI central contract list for this season.
Among the players retained in Grade A, India’s top performers include Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja for the men’s team, and Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Deepti Sharma for the women’s side.
The men's Grade C list is the largest, featuring a mix of emerging talent and format specialists. This group includes Axar Patel, Tilak Varma, Rinku Singh, Arshdeep Singh, Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas lyer, and Ruturaj Gaikwad, among others.
Young players like Dhruv Jurel, Harshit Rana, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Sai Sudharsan have been recognized for their consistent performances.
In the women's team, players such as Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh, Sneh Rana, Yastika Bhatia, and Harleen Deol appear in Grades B and C. Newer names like Uma Chetry, Kranti Gaud, and Kashvee Gautam have also received central contracts.
According to the 2024-25 BCCI central contract structure, players in Grade A earned ₹5 crore annually, Grade B players received ₹3 crore, and Grade C players were paid ₹1 crore. The BCCI has not yet confirmed if the 2025-26 payment structure will see any changes.
For the 2025-26 season, the Grade B list includes Washington Sundar, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Mohammed Siraj, and Hardik Pandya.
