His performance helped restrict UAE to their lowest-ever Asia Cup T20 total of 57

Dubai: In the Group A match of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India's left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav returned to the T20 international scene with a strong bowling performance. He took 4 wickets for 7 runs in just 2.1 overs, playing a critical role in restricting the UAE to a total of 57 runs.
This match marks Kuldeep's first T20I appearance since the 2024 T20 World Cup final. His wickets included key batsmen Rahul Chopra, UAE captain Muhammed Waseem, and Harshit Kaushik, with three wickets coming in one over that shifted the game decisively in India’s favour. Kuldeep’s bowling economy was an impressive 3.50.
UAE's total of 57 is their lowest-ever score in Asia Cup T20 history, beating their previous low of 62 runs against Scotland in 2024. The Indian bowling attack was comprehensive, with Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, Shivam Dube, and Axar Patel also chipping in with important wickets.
India won the match comfortably by 9 wickets in just 4.3 overs.
