Organisers have stressed that while the atmosphere promises to be electric, safety must remain paramount

As the cricketing world braces for a blockbuster Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan, authorities in Dubai are ramping up security measures in anticipation of the high-tension clash. The final, set to take place on Sunday, 28 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, will see fierce rivals go head-to-head for continental glory.
In light of recent geopolitical tensions – including terror attacks in Pahalgam, Kashmir, and India’s subsequent Operation Sindoor – the Dubai Events Security Committee has unveiled a comprehensive security plan aimed at ensuring the safety of players, officials, and the tens of thousands of spectators expected to attend.
Fans have already been treated to two fiery India-Pakistan encounters earlier in the tournament, each delivering on-field intensity and off-field drama. With the stakes higher than ever, authorities have urged caution, patience, and cooperation from all ticket-holders.
Security guidelines and conduct
Organisers have stressed that while the atmosphere promises to be electric, safety must remain paramount. Violations of the security protocols may result in legal action, with the committee calling for full public cooperation to avoid disruptions.
Key advice for attendees includes:
- Arrive at least three hours before the scheduled start to allow time for security screening.
- Re-entry is not permitted; one entry per valid ticket.
- Comply fully with stewards’ instructions and all posted signage.
- Park only in designated areas and refrain from obstructing roadways.
- Adhere to the list of prohibited items to avoid confiscation or denial of entry.
Prohibited items and behaviours:
- Fireworks, flares, laser pointers, or any flammable or hazardous substances.
- Weapons, sharp objects, toxic chemicals, and remote-controlled devices.
- Large umbrellas, camera tripods, selfie sticks, and unauthorised professional photography equipment.
- Banners, flags, or signage not pre-approved by the organisers.
- Pets, bicycles, skateboards, scooters, and any glass items.
- Acts that incite public disorder, promote hate speech, or compromise safety.
