Kochi: The Kerala Cricket League (KCL), launched by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA), promises to herald a new era for cricket in the state.

Noting how things have changed over the years, the talented actor said that nowadays young players start learning the game using signed bats from star cricketers ranging from MS Dhoni to Sanju Samson and under the guidance of exceptional coaches.

At the event, Mohanlal also heaped praise on Kerala women cricketers Minnu Mani, Asha Sobhana who were selected to Indian national squad over the last one and half years. Infact, Asha and Sajana have been both selected to India's squad for the T20I world Cup, scheduled to happen later this year in UAE.
