The 200m national record holder is now set for his Commonwealth Games debut in Glasgow.

Wetzlar: Commonwealth Games-bound sprinter Animesh Kujur clocked the fastest-ever 100-metre time by an Indian athlete on foreign soil, securing a second-place finish at the Fast Arms Fast Legs meet, a World Athletics Continental Tour Challenger event.
The 23-year-old crossed the finish line with a personal best performance of 10.14 seconds in the final, bettering his 10.19-second sprint in the heats earlier in the day on Friday.
The performance now ranks as the second-fastest time ever recorded by an Indian sprinter, trailing only Gurindervir Singh's national record of 10.09 seconds, which was established at the Federation Cup in Ranchi in May.
The result also means Animesh now holds three of the five fastest 100-metre times achieved by an Indian. Prior to Gurindervir's record-breaking sprint, Animesh had held the national record in the 100-metre event.
Animesh, who primarily specialises in the 200 metres and is also the national record holder in that discipline, is scheduled to make his Commonwealth Games debut later this month in Glasgow.
