Wayanad: Hope glimmers amidst the devastation as the Indian Army rescued four more survivors from the tragic landslide in Wayanad, which claimed life of more than 300 people, on Friday on the fourth day of the tragedy.

Four members of a family - two men and two women - were airlifted to safety from a house in Padavettikunnu. One of the survivors, Jomol, sustained a leg injury and is receiving medical attention.

The Army confirmed that all four have been airlifted to a safe location.

The Indian Army, in a press release, said that the casualty evacuation operation was successfully coordinated, and an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) was promptly deployed to facilitate the rescue of stranded individuals.

The rapid response and efficient execution of the operation enabled the timely evacuation of those in need.
