New Delhi: After a magnificent win and staying stranded in Barbados, the Indian team has returned to New Delhi, where they received a warm and festive welcome. Celebrations included cakes, dhols and rejoicing dancing by the cricket stars. Captain Rohit Sharma was seen dancing enthusiastically to the beats of the dhol.

The celebration featured a beautiful cake adorned with the colors of the national team and topped with the WC trophy. The President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Roger Binny, joined the team at Delhi's ITC Maurya hotel on Thursday to celebrate their ICC T20 World Cup victory.

BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla announced that the team will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence before heading to Mumbai for celebratory events. In Mumbai, a grand roadshow awaits from Nariman Point in an open bus, followed by a formal honoring and felicitation of the players.

This is India's second title in the T20 World Cup after the victory in 2007 under Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy.
