Attingal: It has been a hard fought victory for Adoor Prakash, the battle hardened congress veteran, in Attingal constituency. With the prospects of winning gets changed continuously throughout the counting, Adoor Prakash, UDF candidate, has finally thrashed the LDF hopes of securing one more seat to better their position in the state . As the counting has been completed, Prakash emerged as the winner by a margin of 1708 votes, the narrowest margin in the state in this election.
In the beginning, incumbent MP Adoor Prakash took the lead, only for LDF's V Joy to swiftly reach the top position. Meanwhile, Union Minister and BJP candidate V Muraleedharan also seen in the race for the second position.
The fluctuating lead in the Attingal constituency is leaving observers unpredictable of a clear winner, with all three contenders having a chance of emerging victorious. As the trend in most of the LS constituencies have become clear with many candidates have been declared winners, people have watched the changing fortunes during the counting with anxiety and interest.
Throughout the counting process, the LDF and UDF have exchanged positions, with Adoor Prakash initially in the lead, followed by Joy maintaining a narrow margin for several hours. Remarkably, even after four hours of counting, both the candidates have not managed to establish a lead of over 2000 votes, intensifying the suspense surrounding the outcome.
