New Delhi: N K Premachandran, the newly elected MP from the Kollam constituency, became the first registered member of the 18th Lok Sabha.
After winning the people’s mandate, Premachandran arrived at the national capital and enrolled himself in the Parliament. He also received his new identity card.
The veteran member of the Revolutionary Socialist Party also represented his party in the INDIA Bloc meeting which was held in Delhi on Wednesday.
In order to facilitate the ‘paperless’ registration for newly elected MPs, as many as 20 digital counters have been opened up at the Parliament Annex 20 building.
The registrations will go on till 14th of this month between 8 AM and 8 PM every day.
A hardcopy of the Indian Constitution and code of conduct will be handed over to the registered MPs.
