Palakkad: Nilambur MLA P V Anvar stirred up a controversy by launching a verbal attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. His remarks came in response to Rahul Gandhi's criticism of Pinarayi Vijayan.

Congress leaders in Kerala have been alleging that there is a backdoor understanding between Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the BJP. Rahul went on to question why Pinarayi Vijayan was not arrested by the probing agencies. 

In a recent election rally organised by the LDF local committee, Anvar stated that Rahul Gandhi should undergo a DNA test, and from now on, he would only be referred to as ‘Rahul’ without the suffix ‘Gandhi.’

‘Since a few days, Rahul has become a fourth-class citizen who does not deserve to add the name Gandhi to his name. Will a person from the Nehru family be able to say that? Rahul Gandhi's DNA should be tested. There is no dispute,’ asserted Anvar.
