Idukki: The election verdict of the Idukki Lok Sabha seat is out and Dean Kuriakose will represent the constituency for the second time by becoming the MP in the 18th Lok Sabha. For the third fight in Idukki, the same opponents battled it out and victory went to Kuriakose for the second time.
The constituency also had the distinction of being the only seat where the contestants of the last time contested directly. This time the constituency is in the hands of the UDF in the fight to retain and recapture.
Kuriakose gifted victory to UDF by getting 4,32,372 votes. He won by a margin of 1,33,727 votes. Meanwhile LDF’s Adv. Joice George settled with 2,98,645 votes and NDA’s Adv. Sangeetha Vishwanath got 91,323 votes.
