The grounding was initiated at the request of the airline, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which issued a temporary ground stop before lifting it a short time later. The advisory said the halt lasted for just over an hour before normal operations resumed.
JetBlue Airways is an American low-cost airline headquartered in Long Island City in the New York City borough of Queens. The carrier mainly operates a point-to-point route network and maintains six focus cities, with its primary hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.

JetBlue confirmed that a technical problem had prompted the request for the temporary suspension of flights.
“A brief system outage has been resolved and we have resumed operations,” the airline told AFP in a statement. JetBlue serves destinations across the Americas and parts of Europe.
