On a live Sky News broadcast, Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar faced tough questioning from anchor Yalda Hakim over his denial of terrorist camps in Pakistan.

Tarar claimed India had targeted civilian areas in its recent military action. Hakim responded that Indian forces stated they had only hit terror camps, not Pakistani military facilities.

Tarar insisted Pakistan was a victim, not a sponsor, of terrorism and that there were no such camps in the country. He cited Pakistan’s death toll in the war on terror and accused India of ignoring a recent train hijacking. Hakim countered by referring to past admissions from top Pakistani leaders. She highlighted Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's recent remarks on her programme acknowledging Pakistan’s past policy of using terror groups as proxies, and recalled former US President Donald Trump's military aid cuts due to Pakistan’s "double game".

She also referenced past statements from Pervez Musharraf, Benazir Bhutto, and Bilawal Bhutto on Pakistan’s history of supporting such groups. When Tarar reiterated Pakistan’s anti-terror role, Hakim reminded him that Osama bin Laden was found in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

The interview followed India's targeted strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan and POK, which included key bases of Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba. India asserted the strikes were non-escalatory and aimed at preventing further cross-border attacks. The Foreign Secretary emphasised the move aligned with global calls to hold terror perpetrators and sponsors accountable.
