Newly released files from the investigation into the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have brought several high-profile figures into focus. Alongside US President Donald Trump and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, the director Brett Ratner, known for the "Rush Hour" films and the recent documentary Melania, appears in the documents.

The files include images showing Ratner seemingly embracing a young woman. In other photos, the director is seated on a sofa next to Epstein and two women whose identities have been withheld, according to BBC.

The scenes appear to have been captured in the same setting as earlier images of Epstein and Ratner with French modeling agent Jean-Luc Brunel, which were released last December. The exact timing of the new photos remains unclear.

The photos, part of a batch of millions of documents released by the US Justice Department, emerged the same day as Melania: 20 Days to History, a documentary providing a behind-the-scenes look at the first lady's life before Donald Trump's January 2025 inauguration.

The film marks Brett Ratner’s first project since six women accused him of sexual harassment and assault in 2017, allegations which the director has denied.

The newest batch of the Epstein Files, released on Friday, comprises three million pages, 2,000 videos, and 180,000 images. The documents mention several high-profile figures, including Tesla CEO Elon Musk and many others.
