Radvinsky, born in Odesa, Ukraine, and later based in Chicago and Florida, purchased a majority stake in OnlyFans in 2018 from British founders Guy and Tim Stokely. He transformed the platform into a cultural phenomenon, allowing creators to monetise content directly and reshaping the adult entertainment industry.
Radvinsky owned OnlyFans’ parent company, Fenix International Ltd., and had begun exploring the sale of a 60% stake in the platform, with an estimated enterprise value of $5.5 billion. OnlyFans under Radvinsky
Founded in 2016, OnlyFans rose to global prominence for hosting adult content while also attracting mainstream creators like celebrity chefs and athletes. The platform takes a 20% commission on subscriptions and other content sales. By 2024, it had over 4.6 million creator accounts and 377 million users, generating $1.4 billion in revenue. Since 2021, Radvinsky reportedly paid himself $1.8 billion in dividends from the platform.
Despite his public profile as a tech entrepreneur, Radvinsky was known for being reclusive and rarely gave interviews. He supported various philanthropic projects, including donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, open-source initiatives, and the West Suburban Humane Society. OnlyFans noted that he had transferred ownership of the platform to a trust in 2024.
Radvinsky’s passing leaves questions over the future ownership and direction of OnlyFans, one of the most controversial and influential user-generated platforms in recent years.
