Washington: Facing strong political attacks from the Trump Campaign regarding illegal immigration at the southern border, Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris will visit the US-Mexico border to evaluate the situation.
The Harris-Walz Campaign announced that she will be in Douglas, Arizona, near the border, on Friday. Further details about the visit have not been provided yet.

Earlier this week, the Trump Campaign claimed that Harris's visit is politically motivated. This will be her first trip to the border since becoming the Democratic Party's nominee in July.
After her visit to Arizona, Harris plans to head to San Francisco and then Los Angeles for fundraising events. She also intends to travel to Nevada over the weekend, which is one of six key battleground states in the upcoming election.
