The hashtag 'Melodi' exploded on Saturday after Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni took to social media to share a light-hearted moment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the G7 summit. The video, which has taken the Internet by storm, shows Meloni saying, ‘Hello from the Melodi team’. 

Earlier, a photo of the two leaders taking a selfie broke the Internet, but the video is, literally speaking, the icing on the cake considering #Melodi has been trending since the last few days. 

In December last year, the two leaders had clicked a selfie on the the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) in Dubai. While sharing the photograph with PM Modi on X, Meloni had stated, "Good friends at COP28, #Melodi."

Their photographs together have garnered significant attention, making 'Melodi' a trending topic. 

Additionally, during the G7 Summit in Italy, PM Modi and his Italian counterpart discussed bilateral defence and security cooperation, expressing hope for further collaboration. The Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that the Italian aircraft carrier ITS Cavour and training ship ITS Vespucci are set to visit India later this year.
